PulsePatch

Standalone Low-Cost Wearable for Arrhythmia Detection

About

Despite almost 400 million people across the world suffering from heart arrhythmias, access to reliable arrhythmia diagnosis in developing communities remains a critical gap in global healthcare. Many of these communities lack access to standard diagnostic tools such as implantable cardiac monitors, Holter monitors, or continuous ECG devices, leaving patients vulnerable to preventable complications. PulsePatch involves the development of a low-cost, standalone wearable patch capable of detecting and logging abnormal heart rhythms without reliance on smartphones, cloud computing, or continuous internet access, providing a cheaper alternative with similar effectiveness.
